Are the correct?1 We will go to the sea in the next year. (within the next 12 months)2 We will go to the sea the next year. (within the next 12 months)3 We will go to lớn the sea in the next year after 2021.

Bạn đang xem: From next year

4 We will go to the sea the next year after 2021.
Are the correct?1 is cthảm bại but the preposition feels a bit awkward. The others are wrong. No article in these cases.1 We will go lớn the sea in the next year. (within the next 12 months)Within the year = within the next 12 months2 We will go lớn the sea the next year. (within the next 12 months)No21 = next yearHe went the following year 3 We will go lớn the sea in the next year after 2021.The year after next4 We will go khổng lồ the sea the next year after 2021.
Within the next 12 months (by June 21)Within the next year (by June 21)In a year (around June 21)In a year's time (")Next year (in 21)The year after next (in 22)In two years (vague, could mean in 22 could mean in around June 22)The next / the following/ the previous year Is only used when backstepping (or forward stepping) and starting from a different timefrane.Eg.In 20142015 was the next year (the following year)But now, 2021 is next yearNo article for the present if it is the date. An article if it is the duration.Eg within the next year / within the next two hours
All four sentences have problems, but sentence 1 is most nearly "correct"1 We will go to lớn the sea in the next year. This is the best sentence of the four. But if you mean "within the next 12 months", then say so by using "within" instead of just "in".2 We will go khổng lồ the sea the next year. See #1 above sầu, i.e., write "We will go khổng lồ the sea within the next year ". If you mean "during the next calendar year, then simply drop the "the" và say "We will go to the sea next year".3 We will go lớn the sea in the next year after 2021. This would be better as "We will go to lớn the sea in 2022", because the next year after 2021 is 2022. 4 We will go to the sea the next year after 2021.. See #3 above. In BrE, you would probably want khổng lồ say "go to the seaside" rather than "go to the sea". In AmE, "go lớn the beach" would be more usual.
Ah, interesting cultural bias - I understood that to mean 'go to lớn sea' (ie join a crew) & you understood it to lớn mean 'go khổng lồ the seaside'. And I guess you must be right. But to lớn me going to the seaside' is never more than a few hours' travel so I just wouldn't think of it as a two-year advance plan. A particular coast, yes, a Portugal or Spain or the Outer Hebrides, but not 'the sea' in general. But re-joining a crew or sailing your boat again - you would plan lớn vị that within the the year. Get bachồng lớn work. Funny how the different experience leads me lớn get entirely the wrong kết thúc of the stiông xã, when there is no guiding context!(Just posted because I found it amusing - it doesn't change my answers at all which I think agree with tauto's.)
Thar is right: "go to sea" is a nautical phrase and usually means "join the crew of a ship". In Moby-Diông chồng, Ishmael went to sea in the whaling ship Pequod as a member of the crew. One doesn't usually say that the passengers on a ship "go khổng lồ sea", though. Edward Lear perhaps stretched the meaning of the phrase when he wrote in his nonsense poem that "The Owl & the Pussycat went lớn sea / In a beautiful pea-green boat": it's hard to lớn imagine an owl & a pussymèo as sailors. But, we're told, "They sailed away / For a year & a day / To the lvà where the Bong-tree blows...", so they must have sầu been competent mariners. The Owl and the Pussymèo seem lớn have been better sailors than the Jumblies, who, Lear tells us, "went to lớn see in a sieve sầu."
